From Boats to Bikes

I have been involved with Give Us Wings most of my adult life in one way or another and am currently a board member and treasurer. I am so proud to be connected to all the wonderful work they have done over the years and the lives that have been impacted by the small ideas that have led to huge impacts for the community of Tororo in Uganda.  We are excited to continue to enhance the medical clinic that we built a few years ago and I have an ambitious goal of raising $2,000 that could be used to help update the children's ward, creating a cheerful and warm space where children can heal in a safe and warm environment, or help to start a dental outreach program, dental health is critical to overall health. In Uganda, there is only about 1 dentist for every 100,000 people—and basic dental treatment and emergency dental pain relief are unavailable at public primary-care facilities.

The needs are simple and the impact is vast, please help us continue to improve the lives of this amazing community.
