Make Merry this Season - Donate to the Youth Foyer

We are appealing to your giving spirit this holiday season by asking for donations to our Youth Foyer. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the center’s traditional gift angels have been unable to provide this year. We’re in need of some last-minute support. 

With Christmas just around the corner, your donation will help Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency add sparkle the holiday season for the young adults and families living in our Youth Foyer shelter. There is no room at the inn this season, all apartments are presently home to youth and families in need. The Foyer has 13 efficiency apartments and two 2-bedroom apartments for parenting youth – that’s 15 homes your generosity could make merrier. 

We hope to have these gifts to the young people at the Youth Foyer by December 22. 

AEOA’s Youth Foyer in Virginia is permanent supportive housing for homeless youth (ages 18 to 24) and youth at-risk of homelessness. Living in the apartment homes helps young adults transition into independent living.  

Youth Foyer counselors work with individuals on personal service plans to prepare them for their next chapter in life. It is anticipated that within two to three years youth will have made significant improvements in their lives regarding employment, training and education, mental and physical health stability and positive social and community connections.
