I was first drawn to Give Us Wings because I wanted to make a meaningful impact. I began as a Family to Family partner and later had the honor of joining the board. I love knowing that the work we’re doing is truly changing lives in Uganda by empowering families through health care, education, and economic opportunity.

Give Us Wings (GUW) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to partnering with families in eastern Uganda to help them break the cycle of extreme poverty. Since 1999, we've worked hand-in-hand with local communities to expand access to quality health care, education, and economic opportunities.

Our work centers around three core pillars:

• Health Care: We operate St. John’s Kayoro Health Center, providing free prenatal care, safe childbirth services, immunizations, and community health outreach. Families also benefit from affordable health insurance through our programs.

• Education: Through our Family-to-Family program, donors sponsor a child’s education at top boarding schools while supporting the entire family with health care and life skills training.

• Economic Development: We empower local cooperative groups with training, equipment, and access to microloans, helping families build sustainable livelihoods.

Together, we’re helping Ugandan families transform their futures with dignity, resilience, and hope.
