Here at Rosegate, we have had wonderful years so far. The perimeter fence has been installed around the three acres of property so we can keep the critters safe inside and the wilder life out. The purchasing of a snow blower has been accomplished so they won't hurt their delicate paws on an exercise Labrinth created throughout the yard. We have also just replaced most of the old windows here and that helps with keeping things warm and a clear view for the bird watchers. We have also completed the 'Cat-nesium', an indoor playground for the cats.  Most importantly, a few new rescues have been added to the ranks with happy results.

Since we are a tiny operation, our $1000 goal for Give to the Max Day is just to help us with operating costs like vet care, pet foods/treats, supplies, etc.

Rosegate is a small non-profit 501(c)3 organization, located here in Correll, Minnesota. Founded and funded by ourselves (husband and wife team) with some kind and welcomed donations and sponsors.

Not every animal gets to live at Rosegate, it is very important that the dogs and cats that we do take in are not aggressive or possessive so the animals live in harmony together. while this does limit the number of animals we can take in, we feel the quality of life is more important than the quantity we help.

We provide a loving home, high-quality food, vet care, compassion, and comfort to senior cats and dogs for the rest of their lives, and of course massive amounts of spoilage so they tend to pick on us.

Rosegate also fosters mother cats and their litters until adoption age. We provide in-house hospice and long-distance Reiki healing too. The dogs and cats of Rosegate RHDC are not adoptable, they are already in their forever home! Once they come to us, they live out their lives knowing they will no longer be abandoned again. They have been through enough and deserve a final resting in their old age.

Ever since our old dog Rosie passed, we had our eyes on the neighbor's property that has three great buildings on two acres so as to create Rosegate. We've been excited about creating something good and big for senior pets that can give home for a couple of dozen dogs or so and many more cats. We saved our money, opened up some donation pages, got the 501(c)3 status, and installed the fence on our own 3 acres of property. At this point, we are small and limited in the number of animals we can take in. Not only do we have to make sure that all the animals can get along but we also have to share our living space with them and thus, keep our own sanity.  Unfortunately, we had to refuse a few potential residents due to this reason. We just can not hoard them all in our small homes. Our motto is Quality over Quantity.

We are still hoping that we can inspire some people around the world. If they have some property and an extra building, then that and a desire to give senior pets a forever home is all that is required. Big or small dreams, helping those who need it is a great feeling.

Mission Statement  - Rosegate is committed to providing safety, security and comfort to senior pets. After a life of service and love we provide neglected and abandoned dogs and cats a peaceful home with dignity and compassion for the rest of their lives.
