The Harrison neighborhood is located in North Minneapolis just west of downtown. It is a community under intense gentrification pressure as development spills over from downtown, attracted by affordable land and transit investments including the Green Line Light Rail and the former Blue Line Light Rail extension route.

The Harrison Neighborhood Association (HNA), established in 1984 by neighbors seeking to build community together, is a small but powerful place-based, resident-led organization. Our mission is to create a prosperous and peaceful community that equitably benefits all of Harrison neighborhood’s diverse racial, cultural, and economic groups.

Your donation will support HNA's community-serving programs, community-led campaigns, & community-building events:

Tool Lending Library

Home Improvement Grant Program

Down Payment Assistance Grant Program

Community Gardens

Bring Back 6th (pedestrian safety improvements on Olson Hwy & implementation of the community's vision for a restored 6th Ave)

Reparations for Harrison (repairing the harm caused by the Blue Line Light Rail & ensuring promised benefits still flow to the community)

Tree Canopy Equity (alleviating the financial burden for residents facing Emerald Ash Borer tree removals & providing re-planting resources)

Community Events (Harrison Suppertime; Earth Day Clean-Up; Annual Membership Meeting; Imagine 6th Ave; Playing for the Plants; Harrison Halloween Hunt)

THANK YOU to our residents, businesses, partners, and donors. We couldn't do this work without your dedication & support!
