Give to the Max Day 2022

This year’s GTMD focus is our school-based mental health services. Our children have experienced a lot of hurt, pain, and trauma this past year, and the need for mental health professionals in the school has never been higher. COVID-19, racial violence, social unrest, school closings, gun violence, isolation, and resulting challenges at home have made it hard for many children to cope. Our School-Linked therapists typically reach 515-540 children annually, but in the latter half of 2021 alone, they reached 540 children, demonstrating a major increase in need.

“All of our school-based therapists have full caseloads, and all of those schools want more,” said Bruce Cross, Program Supervisor for Robbinsdale Area Schools.

Our School-Linked team provides onsite therapy, making it more accessible for busy families and reducing any variables that may prevent students and adolescents from receiving care. People Incorporated has therapists in 25 schools across four districts, and these services provide an efficient solution for districts overwhelmed with the demand for social and behavioral health services.
