People Incorporated is the largest community-based mental health provider in Minnesota.
It's our job to make sure that no one falls through the cracks when trying to get supportive, quality mental health and substance use disorder support.
Whether the barrier to getting help is finances, isolation, or confusion in accessing care, we want to help.
We need you help to fill the gap in mental health care.
Your donations fund a wide variety of programs caring for your neighbors:
-
Charitable care
- Sometimes, a high deductible or lack of health insurance prevents someone from seeking help when they need it most. This is our largest area of financial need. Your donations allow us to provide care to people who may not have the means to pay for what they need.
-
School-based mental health services
- The need for mental health professionals in schools has never been higher. Social media, violence, isolation, and other compounding factors have made it hard for many children to cope effectively. Our providers work collaboratively with children, their parents, teachers, and school staff to make sure each child has the necessary supports and tools to thrive in school and beyond.
-
Access and Recovery Center
- Our Access and Recovery Center team works closely with people experiencing homelessness to provide health and welfare checks, mental health resources, temporary supports such as tents and sleeping bags, as well as long-term supports like assistance moving into safe shelter, getting identification, applying for safety net programs, receiving counseling, and more.
-
Training Institute
- Our Training Institute working with other nonprofits, corporations, community center employees, librarians, school staff, police officers, and more to provide intensive training on mental health first aid, de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and other critical programming that will provide better supports to people in crisis. We're also adding more trainings to respond to rising demand for educational supports around culturally-sensitive care, equity, and trauma-informed care.
Your gifts make this work possible!
As the world continues to adapt and respond, we know the needs for our supports will not change. Your partnership allows us continue to support people, no matter where they are on their journey to mental wellness.
