The Lyndale Neighborhood Association and Zion Lutheran Church provide a regular "pay-what-you-can" community dinner for anyone in or around South Minneapolis.

Volunteers cook, serve, and clean up every Wednesday evening (in nonpandemic times) at Zion Church. Collectively, we prepare and serve around 2500 meals each year.

For some, the Lyndale Community Dinner and weekly fresh produce give-away is an important way to access healthy and nutritious food each week and to stretch their food budget. While for others, it's an opportunity to connect with neighbors and build community.

Beyond providing food security, Lyndale Dinner staff and volunteers also provide family-oriented community programming at most dinner events. Some weeks, patrons will exercise, play games, or sing together. We also host occasional volunteer events to clean up and protect our local environment.

Since 2012, your support has been a critical component to the ongoing success of our dinner.  On average, our meals only cost $2.00 per guest. We are able to keep costs so low because of the generosity of volunteers and the financial support of folks like you. Thank you for your support!

To learn more about the community dinner, please email erin@lyndale.org - better yet, JOIN US! The dinner is every Wednesday at 6pm at Zion Church (128 W 33rd St.) (SUMMER 2021: only on the 1st Wednesday of each month).  Thanks for your support!
