Wellness To The Max

Give To The Max 2021 is an opportunity for Witchtree Training Center to recover and plan ahead after an unexpected interruption in business.

Mid-way through our best year ever, our commercial insurance carrier changed the terms of our annual policy, ending it early.  We had two weeks to avert a shut-down and when that failed, we went from a full lesson schedule to no activity or income during the two months that are historically our busiest.  Unable to predict when (or if) we would re-open, we encouraged our students to continue with other trainers.  

For an organization that depends on the involvement of the public, this situation posed many short term and long term challenges that could neither be predicted nor prevented.  With the professional advocacy of a local broker we have been able to secure coverage with a new carrier that can provide appropriate protections, allow us to pay in 4 installments and guarantee all 12 months we have committed to paying for.  

Re-opening the doors of a seasonal business in November is no easy task for our dedicated team.  With freezing temperatures and less consistent weather, we are entering our slowest time of the year for our income-generating programs.  Therefore our goal is to raise enough money to make up for the loss of the fall income that normally carries us until business picks back up in the spring.  We have a new insurance policy to pay for and depleted savings accounts to restore.  The realistic goal we set will help provide for the wellness of our animals and ensure that there are funds to pay the next installments of our commercial policy even if it takes us additional time to rebuild our client base and return to the same level of operation we had before we were forced to shut our doors.
