Witchtree Training Center became a nonprofit organization in 2012 and opened its doors to the public in 2016.  During this time our programs have grown exponentially, responding to a variety of needs in the communities we serve.

A two-part nonprofit Mission has proven to be a strong backbone for our unique business model.  The services we provide to support other nonprofits such as animal rescues, shelters and sanctuaries is supported largely by revenue from the educational services we provide to the general public including, but not limited to, horseback riding lessons.  Demand for our training and teaching services has grown faster than our current infrastructure and budget can keep up with.  While planning expansion of our existing programs we are also exploring ways to respond to challenges such as the economic and environmental issues caused by extreme drought conditions affecting our state and the surrounding regions in 2021.

Maintaining insurance is critical to what we do and how we can do it, both in the form of appropriate commercial coverage and in the form of a savings account for unforeseen urgent medical or dental needs.  The cost of funding both for another year is the basis for our current fundraising goal.
