Growing a Love for Reading!

$1,300

raised by 21 people

$2,000 goal

If a child doesn’t like to read, it is probably because reading is difficult.

Our teachers Grow  Love for Reading in each student.

Students are safely engaged in online lessons.  Happy faces pop up on the screen, eager to learn and happy to have 1:1 engagement.

Lessons are individualized to create the perfect mix of new learning with large doses of success.  Our staff is trained in instructional methods proven effective for helping students learn.   Students are given ample support and practice to master new skills.  Teachers are careful to catch signs of frustration early on and adjust the lesson to bring back the engagement.    Lessons look different for every single child.

Our mission

The mission of Great Minds Learning Center is to provide children and adults with the necessary reading and spelling skills to accomplish their educational and personal goals.

Great Minds Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Successful intervention is now available for all students who struggle with reading and writing tasks- not just those who can afford private lessons.   Thanks to the generous support of private donors, businesses, and community foundations we are accessible to local families at all income levels.

This summer, Sawyer has been excited to go to the library and check out books.  He loves the "Lunchlady" series and anything that has to do with history.  It is touching to see him enjoying reading now and I credit much of that ability to Great Minds!" -Angela
