$5,000 goal

Today is Give to the Max Day!! I am raising money for Stamina Racing Collective x Machines for Freedom to get us over the hump of our $10,000 goal for the year. I have not run this idea by my coach (#sorrynotsorry, Lev Kalemkiarian) but I received the nod of approval from my teammates, which is all I need 😂.

If I can raise $1000, I will race Unbound 100 in June.
If I can raise $2000, I will do Unbound 100 on a single speed.

Then, we up the ante.

For $3000, I will do Unbound 200.
For $5,000, I will do Unbound 200 on a single speed.

Yes! That's 200 miles on rugged gravel roads, with one gear, in the middle of Kansas, self-supported.

LET'S GOOOOO!!!!

The word stamina signifies a sustained physical and mental effort, which is needed in cycling and in social justice. Our team chose to include the words stamina and collective to signify the importance of our sustained work together toward one common objective: increased diversity in competitive cycling.

Approximately 15% of licensed racers in USA Cycling are those in women’s fields. Even fewer riders identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color (BIPOC), with estimates ranging from 8%-10% across all BIPOC groups. The goal of Stamina Racing Collective is to strengthen and diversify the pipeline of women, trans, and non-binary athletes in competitive cycling. Three of the major factors that decrease the participation of cyclists in women's fields include inequitable opportunities, a lack of support from others, and barriers to accessibility. Our team uses a three tiered approach to address these barriers. Our pillars include mentorship, accessibility, and community development.

We are fundraising for Minnesota's Give to the Max Day in order to support our non-profit costs, our next season of racing, and our community programming for 2023. Thank you in advance for your support!
