Support Alexandra House by helping us honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and raise both awareness and funds for our vital domestic and sexual violence services.

HopeFest is one of Alexandra House’s signature events, raising awareness about domestic and sexual violence and critical funds to support its mission. It's a time for the community to come together—to honor survivors, remember lives lost, and take action for a violence-free future. Leading up to the event, individuals and teams raise funds to support Alexandra House’s life-saving services.

The Need: Domestic and sexual violence affects millions, including nearly 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in Minnesota. Beyond the personal trauma, it carries enormous societal costs in healthcare, lost productivity, and legal expenses.

Our Impact: For nearly 50 years, Alexandra House has supported survivors and their families through a holistic, trauma-informed approach. Services are free, confidential, and available to adults, children, and older adults impacted by domestic, sexual, and relationship violence.

Locations: Andover, Anoka, and Blaine.

Core Services Include:

  • Emergency shelter

  • 24-hour helpline

  • Legal and hospital advocacy

  • Support groups

  • Youth and elder abuse services

  • Housing assistance

  • Community and professional education

New Initiative: Linus’ Pet Haven—a pet-friendly shelter space at the Blaine campus—removes a barrier for survivors who hesitate to leave abusive situations due to concern for their pets' safety.

Your Support Makes a Difference:

  • $50 – Healthy relationships education for a student

  • $100 – Gas cards for survivor appointments

  • $250 – Safety planning for callers

  • $500 – Help filing for protective orders

  • $1,000 – First month’s rent and deposit for a survivor family

  • $2,500 – Hospital advocacy for 15 survivors

  • $5,000 – Advocate support for 60 court accompaniments

Together, through events like HopeFest and your generosity, we can continue to stand alongside survivors, break cycles of violence, and build a safer, more compassionate future.
