Help Bunce By Donating!

You’re invited to partner with BPA in providing quality theater to the community! Here’s why we need your help.

BPA’s primary goal is to provide free or low cost musical theater for area residents. To make our shows a reality, we rely heavily on donations from friends like you!

Gifts received through Give to the Max will be used to take The BEAT (Bunce Educational Adventure Theater) to students who cannot afford it and to help fund the other theater productions we offer to the community.

The BEAT is an after-school musical theater experience for students in grades 2 through 9.

All donations to BPA are tax-deductible.

Donation Examples:
Any donation amount is helpful, but here are some examples of how your donations can help students participate in The BEAT:

 $115 – Sponsor a student for The BEAT (help a student who can't afford it)

 $57.50 – Half a BEAT sponsorship

 $25 – one costume for The BEAT

 $10 – give a child a keepsake script from their experience

Other BPA Expenses
Here are some other areas where your donation would be helpful:

 Scholarship for BPA Summer Camp (help a student who can't afford it)

 Script rental

 Directorial and production staff

 Costumes

 Set

 Props

 Sound

 Lighting

 Performance space rental

 Rehearsal space rental

 And much more!

Thank you in advance for your consideration! We value your partnership in providing opportunities to the actors, musicians, and audience members in our local community. On behalf of the entire company, we look forward to continuing our outreach through events, camps, after-school programs, and performances that will unite area residents.

We kindly ask for your support to help BPA realize its mission of providing theater to everyone!

The BEAT

The BEAT (Bunce Educational Adventure Theater) was created in 2019 to offer after-school musical theater experiences to students in grades 2 through 9.  The mission of the BEAT is to provide quality, fun-filled, musical theater opportunities to young students and enhance the lives of participants.

Bunce Performing Arts believes that performing in musical theater productions can help students:

o Learn how to work as a team

o Develop self identity

o Learn responsibility

o Develop confidence

o Explore personal talents

o Improve communication skills

o Improve mental well-being

o Improve physical well-being

The BEAT is fortunate to have a valuable partnership with Osseo Area Schools Community Education, which provides administrative support, on-line registration capabilities and access to school facilities. This after-school program would not be possible without the help of the fabulous staff in the community ed department!

Summer Theater Camps

Bunce Performing Arts hosts affordable summer theater camps each year in Maple Grove for students ages 8-15 or entering grades 3-10. Registration begins on March 1st and camps are run in June.

These affordable outdoor summer theater camps range in price from $100 to $185 depending on the length of the camp and are held in the peaceful setting of the Bunce family backyard in Maple Grove, MN.  Each camp is run by talented local directors with backgrounds in theater and education.

The cost for Camp One, ages 8 -  11, is $100 and is run for 5 half-days with a performance on the last day.

The cost for Camp Two, ages 12 - 15, is $185 and is run for 9 half-days with a performance on the last day.

Summer theater camp participants will experience a variety of activities including learning musical theater songs and fun choreography, playing theater games, and helping to create costumes and set pieces.

Summer Show

The Bunce Performing Arts annual backyard musical theater production takes place each year in late July.  The production is free to the public and is located in the backyard of the Bogle family in Dayton, MN.

Each backyard musical production features a welcoming atmosphere, a live orchestra pit, and professional-level sound and lighting.  Performances start at 7 p.m., but plan to arrive early to get a good spot for your chair or blanket.  The average nightly attendance is between 500 and 800 people!
