As an African-born educator and equity advocate, I know firsthand the transformative power of books. They are more than pages, they are passports to possibility, tools of liberation, and seeds of dignity. My involvement with Books for Africa is deeply personal and profoundly purposeful. It is a way to honor my educational journey, uplift the next generation, and invest in a future where every child, regardless of geography, must have access to knowledge and hope. I have been involved with Books for Africa for several years now, and have had the privilege of sending a container of books, including a Law Library, to Kano, Nigeria. This I did with the help of other well-meaning board members, and donors! Those books were received with much reverence and treated like lifelines!
