Appleseed Community Theatre

Started in 2002 and became an HCP partner program in January of 2011. Appleseed Community Theatre aims to provide opportunities for La Crescent area youth and adults to participate in the theatrical experience, as actors, volunteers, production staff, and audience members. Appleseed produces at least three productions each year including a show for children based on a children's book, a musical production following a kids' theatre camp, and a summer show which has 6-8 performances and utilizes 100+ volunteers including actors, stage and production crew, musicians, and others. Appleseed is run by a volunteer committee and pays small stipends to directors and others for each show.
