When I was little, trauma pressed the sound out of me. I hid in a tiny local library and read every book I could touch. Pages became doors. Through them, I saw a future where I would leave my small township in Zimbabwe, study in Minnesota, and return with something that could change a child’s day—and maybe their life: books.That vision came true. I moved to Minnesota, attended university, and today I partner with Books for Africa. With your help, we shipped our first container to Zimbabwe, putting books into the hands of 3,000 students—from kindergarten to university. I watched classrooms brighten, teachers plan new lessons, and children carry home stories like treasures.
