Eastside Meals on Wheels

Even before inflation surged, the number of seniors living in poverty was growing. Last year, the poverty rate for individuals 65 and older rose by 1.4 percentage points, while the rate of child poverty fell, and adult poverty was unchanged.

To make ends meet, older adults forgo needed medical care, skip prescribed medicine, or cut back on basic needs such as food and utilities.

Your donation helps Eastside Meals on Wheels provide nutritious meals in Northeast Minneapolis, Southeast Minneapolis, and St. Anthony Village. 

Join us this Giving Day and help us assure that our neighbors receive the food that they need. 

We serve adults sixty years of age or older who cannot prepare or shop for their own adequate meals. We never deny meals for those who qualify, regardless of their ability to contribute towards the cost.
