Eastside Meals On Wheels Inc

Eastside Meals on Wheels was founded in 1973 in what was then the Trinity United Methodist parking lot. Congregation members noticed when long-term older adult members were no longer attending service. Often, they found these seniors had declined physically. They were newly homebound and needed help. Since then, Eastside Meals on Wheels has delivered warm and nutritious meals in NE Minneapolis, SE Minneapolis, and St. Anthony Village. 

Frequent interactions with our volunteers addresses safety hazards  and helps combat the social isolation faced by older adults. 

If a client is sixty or older and struggles to shop or cook for themselves, they are never denied meals. Your donation helps the seniors that can't afford to contribute towards their meal cost. 

We can provide a senior with Meals on Wheels for an entire year for the same cost as being in the hospital for one day or a nursing home for 10.
