Help Provide Housing for Adults with MI

I am proud to work in the Intentional Communities Program at Touchstone Mental Health, where I help adults living with mental illness reach their full potential. The program assists folks with increasing their social supports, learning coping skills to manage their mental illness, and finding & maintaining housing. Everyone in the program is low-income and utilizes a rental subsidy in order to afford rent each month. However, it is difficult to have funds for the extra things when obtaining housing and there are very limited resources available to assist. Some examples include but are not limited to: housing application fees, security deposit, movers, furniture, and cleaning products. 

Average Cost of Moving Expenses: 

Application fees (per apt): $50

Security deposit for a 1 bedroom apt: $900

Movers: $200-400

Bridging referral for used furniture: $200

We are hoping to raise funds to assist folks with housing expenses so that they can obtain and maintain housing. Please consider making a donation. Any size donation will help reduce homelessness in our community.
