The past year was filled with many challenges. In spite of this, it was also a year filled with opportunities to serve the community in new and innovative ways. Southeast Seniors staff and volunteers rose to the occasion, providing socially distanced assistance with voter registration outside of our new home, the Pillars of Prospect Park, collaborating with a local restaurant to deliver 73 festive hot meals to our clients the week of Thanksgiving, offering our first virtual Powerful Tools for Caregivers class in partnership with East Side Neighborhood Services, and co-hosting two COVID-19 vaccine clinics that served 330 older adults and caregivers, while continuing to provide our core services including nursing, service coordination, volunteer transportation and friendly visiting.
Please contribute to Southeast Seniors so we can continue this important work. Your gift enables us to coordinate volunteer services, provide subsidized nursing visits, and continue the personal contact that bridges the isolation of this time. Help us keep our seniors connected, comfortable and safe in their homes, which is more vital now than ever.
