My story with Safe Hands Animal Rescue began in March of 2011, fostering a litter of three. It's been 10 years, thousands of volunteer hours, 46 fosters and one foster fail. I'm still at it!

Gideon arrived at the beginning of the pandemic last year and spent the first 4 months with us.  He arrived in terrible shape and went to his forever home a happy, healthy energetic boy! Watch the video to see his Safe Hands photo story from arrival to forever. #fosteringsaveslives

Safe Hands Rescue gives homeless pets a second chance to have a great life. If you have a companion animal, you know that we don’t just rescue them…they rescue us too. They bring happiness, make us laugh and give us comfort. We give them the best days of their lives and in return they give us the best days of ours.

For the second year in a row, the Safe Hands Fur Ball Gala is going virtual! Homeless animals need your support now more than ever. COVID-19 has hurt so many companion animals across the country and more and more pets are being forced into homelessness. They won’t survive without your help.

Safe Hands recently purchased THE SAFE HOUSE, located in SE Kentucky. A lot of work needs to be done on the property to get it fully functional so we can save even more! One of many projects on the list is to turn the existing barn into an animal holding ward. So often, animals come to us in the nick of time. Just hours make the difference between life and death. That’s why we need a safe place for animals to receive medical care, eat good food, and lay their heads leading up to their trip on the Freedom Train to Minneapolis.

That’s why I’m participating in the Safe Hands Virtual Furball, and why I’m inviting you to join me in donating to the cause. There are so many more companion animals like Gideon, who want to be saved. In challenging times like these our companion animals are there with us and for us. They see us through hard times. Challenging times like these tend to bring out the best in people. Your gift today will help save lives, share joy and create love.

Will you make a gift today to help rescue more dogs like Gideon?

P.S.  I will do Facebook shout outs for donations. So, if you have a business that you would like me to shout out, a Senior that you would like me to shout out, or anything else, DONATE at the link above and then message me with your shout out message! Thank you for anything you can give.
