Oscar Larson's 4th Grade Read-a-Thon
A nonprofit fundraiser supporting
Burroughs Community School$25

$100 goal
Each February the Burroughs Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) sponsors the Read-a-Thon to raise money for Burroughs Community School. These funds provide financial support for field trips and a variety of enrichment materials for reading, math, science, art, music, physical education and much more. The Read-a-Thon focuses on the amount of time a student reads. This year the students are challenged to collectively read 2 MILLION MINUTES. If students read a total of 2 million minutes, Principal Bartl will get "slimed" at the Closing Ceremony and wear a unicorn costume for the remainder of the day!
Oscar is looking for pledge money for each minute he reads in February. He is also able to collect a flat amount for the PTA too!
Reading is not yet Oscar's favorite activity but we are making progress! Any support, funds or words of encouragement, is great!
Thanks so much!!
