The Washburn Soccer Boosters is a volunteer non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of supporting the tradition of a high quality soccer program at Washburn High School. The boosters raise funds to support the activities of all soccer teams. Between the boys and girls programs we serve almost 200 student athletes each season! While this official 501c3 "Washburn Soccer Boosters" is connected to the boys program, we partner very closely with the girls program. Both Booster programs collect booster fees, conduct community fundraisers, and solicit private donations to support program activities. In addition, our booster clubs support the coaches and student-athletes, on and off the field. Boosters maintain websites, document games in pictures, organize team social events, and work to promote the love of soccer in our community. We know the importance of this incredible sport on the development of young athletes and we're passionate about providing the highest quality experience for our players.
Capital Campaign for 2021-22
Washburn Soccer has 2 major areas of need for our boys and girls programs!
1. A pair of goals to be placed at Todd Park so our girls 9th grade team has goals to practice with- $5000
2. A pool of reserve money separated, in which yearly coaching salaries can be drawn from. Our two programs have 8-9 teams yearly and we are only funded for 2 coaches by the Minneapolis district. This leaves a balance of in excess of $15,000 that we as a booster club have to try and raise each season for our programs coaches.
We have created two campaigns for donors. You can support our soccer athletes by giving to either campaign. You'll see one for the Boys Program and one for the Girls Program. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
