Prairie Ecology Bus Center

The Prairie Ecology Bus Center is dedicated to helping people understand and appreciate the natural wonders in their own backyards.

The Prairie Ecology Bus Center (PEBC) is based in southwestern Minnesota and is home to the Ecology Bus, a mobile science lab and classroom designed to educate students about the environmental sciences.

PEBC programs serve preschool through adults learners using onsite and outreach programs to educate about the environment and helping people establish a sense of place and appreciation for the communities in which we live. 

Since 1990, PEBC has offered bus field trips, community education classes, large group assemblies, Nature Tots classes, and more. Southwest Minnesota is home to a diverse environment rich in natural resource history which guides the variety of  programs offered.  

To continue delivering these invaluable experiences, we rely on a reliable and safe mode of transportation for our young participants and our team of Naturalists. Our current van, which has served us faithfully for many years, is now in a state of disrepair, compromising both the safety and efficiency of our educational endeavors. With your help, we can secure a NEW and eco-friendly van to carry on our vital work!
