We believe people in need should not live in hunger.

For more than 50 years, Groveland Food Shelf has been helping feed our Minneapolis neighbors facing food insecurity. 

We provide fresh and shelf-stable food to 150–200 guests every weekday—all in a welcoming, respectful environment. As a low barrier food shelf - all are welcome, no appointments, no proof of income, guests pick the food they want from what we have. Each month your support helps us distribute over 150,000 pounds of needed food to our community. 

With fewer than a dozen paid staff members, our mission is powered by local volunteers from faith communities, businesses, service organizations, and the broader community, who together contribute thousands of hours each year. Their generosity—and the generosity of our supporters—keeps nutritious food on the tables of our neighbors and our mission moving forward.
