For Minneapolis, With Love: Groveland Food Shelf

Minneapolis is my home, and right now, too many of our neighbors are trying to get through the week without enough food. Some people are working and still coming up short. Some are unhoused. Some are seniors or immunocompromised. Some are simply scared to leave home right now… and hunger doesn’t pause for any of that.

So I’m running a month-long fundraiser to support Groveland Emergency Food Shelf in Minneapolis, and every dollar raised will go directly to Groveland.

And I want to say this clearly: food shelves need two things most, monetary donations and consistent volunteer time. Money helps them buy exactly what’s needed (especially fresh, culturally specific items), and steady volunteers are what keep distribution moving week after week.

I’m also putting my hands and heart into this: I’ll be volunteering, and I’ll be packing and bringing grocery bags directly to people who are afraid to leave home, so support reaches neighbors who can’t safely or comfortably get out right now.
