✈️Help Us Prepare the Next Generation of Aviation Mechanics

This year for Give to the Max Day, Flight Expo, Inc. is focusing our fundraising efforts on two incredible youth programs: Build a Plane and NextGen Aviation Mechanics.

Both programs are designed for students ages 12–18, giving them a hands-on head start toward a career in aviation mechanics, a field that will be in high demand in the years to come. Your support helps us give these young people the training, mentorship, and opportunities they need to take flight toward their dreams.

💛 Where Your Donation Goes

All funds raised during Give to the Max Day will go directly to support:

  • Build a Plane, where students learn by restoring and building real aircraft, developing essential mechanical and teamwork skills.

  • NextGen Aviation Mechanics, a program that gives students early exposure to aircraft systems and maintenance — preparing them for FAA certification and future aviation careers.

Through these programs, students gain confidence, technical skills, and real-world experience that will serve them for life.

✈️ About Flight Expo

Founded by a group of aviation enthusiasts, Flight Expo, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting aviation through education and aircraft preservation.

Our vision is to prepare the next generation of innovators in the world of aerospace by engaging students through collaboration, optimism, and real-world challenges that enable future leaders.

Our mission is to:

  • Educate and engage individuals about the many facets of aviation.

  • Equip today’s youth with the tools and training needed to pursue FAA certifications and pilot licenses.

  • Inspire innovation through hands-on aircraft restoration and construction.

  • Preserve aviation history through restoration projects and museum displays.

From building a full-scale replica of the 1903 Wright Flyer (displayed across the Twin Cities since 2003) to training today’s youth in aviation mechanics, Flight Expo connects the past, present, and future of flight.

🌟 Why It Matters

The United States faces a growing shortage of pilots, engineers, and aircraft mechanics. By engaging students in hands-on STEM learning through aviation, Flight Expo helps fill that gap — giving students the knowledge, confidence, and inspiration to build brighter futures for themselves and for the industry.

🚀 Join Us This Give to the Max Day!

Your donation, no matter the size, helps us reach more students and provide the tools, materials, and mentorship that keep our programs thriving.

💛 Give between November 1–20 on GiveMN.org to help us qualify for special bonus prizes! Each gift gives Flight Expo another chance to win part of the $100,000+ Prize Pool sponsored by the Bush Foundation.

Together, we can inspire, educate, and equip the next generation of aviators and aircraft mechanics.

Thank you for helping us keep the spirit of flight alive through education, innovation, and preservation.

With gratitude,

The Flight Expo Team
