For nearly 40 years, Calvary Food Shelf has been a lifeline for families across the Twin Cities. Today, that mission is more urgent than ever.

SNAP benefits are at risk, leaving many families without enough to get by. At the same time, food shelf visits hit nearly 9 million in 2024, up 1.4 million from 2023. One in five Minnesota households struggles to put food on the table and for households of color, that jumps to 40%.

Many of our clients are immigrant families facing additional threats and uncertainty in this political climate. For them and countless other families, our food shelf is a safe haven and a lifeline.

The Need Is Staggering

• Demand has increased twelve-fold since the pandemic
• In October alone, we fed over 3,000 people from 750+ households
• We distributed 40,000 pounds of food in one month
• We cleared our entire waitlist, so no family is turned away

100% of your donation will go directly to purchasing food. Every single dollar buys groceries for families in need.

• $50 provides 125 pounds of nutritious food including fresh produce, quality meat, dairy, eggs, pantry staples, and more
• $100 ensures 5 families go home with 50+ pounds of food each
