Calvary Food Shelf: Feed the Recovery

This March, Calvary Food Shelf is participating in Minnesota FoodShare's March Campaign, now in its 45th year and the largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state.

When ICE enforcement surged in our neighborhood, fear kept many families from leaving their homes. Calvary Food Shelf expanded our delivery services to bring food directly to families' doors. 

From November to February, the number of people we served grew more than fivefold, from 2,700 individuals to 14,000+, across 3,706 households and 114,000 pounds of food in February alone.

The recovery is just beginning. Fear may be easing, but the need is not. Many families will depend on us for months to come.
