HELP US SUSTAIN AND SUPPORT YOUTH VOICE THROUGH

SELF-REGULATION...

Every day, kids struggle in school, in their families and with each other. Kids from low-income communities and kids of color experience even greater inequality and thus face unique and compounding challenges. Learning how to not only survive but, thrive while dealing with this environment takes skills beyond academics.

One way to have students thrive is by teaching them the skill of Self-Regulation. Self-Regulation is the ability to consciously maintain control over one’s actions and emotions. For decades, this has been a main skill CLIMB has taught to kids. We want to continue our unique educational reach so we can stay a valuable asset to the youth in your community.

CLIMB's GROUNDING PRINCIPLES

CLIMB's programs are framed and informed by these 3 principles.  Through this, we can ensure that our community partnerships are sustainable and collaboratively created.

YOUTH CENTEREDINTENTIONALLY INTERSECTIONALARTS INTEGRATED

CLIMB Believes that youth voices need to be at the center of EVERYTHING.

CLIMB ensure multiple perspectives inform our process by identifying intentional and unintentional "silos" within partner communities.CLIMB leverages the power of the collaborative arts to strengthen and exercise social emotional skills.

Help Keep CLIMB's Legacy of Impactful Work Alive!!!

4.5 million youth have been directly impacted since CLIMB’s inception in 1975. Pre-pandemic we inspired roughly 150,000 youth and community members each year.

In 2021 we made a mindful shift to increase engagement time with our partner communities. While this led to a decrease in youth reached (largely due to staffing capacity), this led to a 500% increase in contact time per community member last season!

We are committed to maintaining this deeper level of impact with our partner communities. YOUR GIFT can help us do that AND bring the amount of youth we reached back up to pre-pandemic numbers!
