This Give to the Max Day, I’m supporting PFund Foundation because I’ve volunteered with PFund for over a year and a half, and in that time, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply this organization shows up for queer and trans people across the Upper Midwest. Their work is real, urgent, and rooted in community.
Last year alone, PFund invested nearly $1 million back into LGBTQ+ communities across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Here’s what that looked like:
61 LGBTQ+ students received $150,000 in scholarships to pursue their education
166,000+ people were supported through trans-affirming programs and services
40,000+ rural LGBTQ+ people accessed safety, connection, and community
33 queer entrepreneurs received business grants and leadership development
Grants to grassroots nonprofits reached tens of thousands more across the region
