$1,000 goal

When Dallas came into our lives I was sure she was going to "rip us apart". I had the same mind set as so many people, "Pit Bulls are vicious", boy was I wrong! Dallas opened my eyes to the incredible love these power breeds can give. Because of her we started fostering dogs of all ages and breeds. Over the years she welcomed dozens of foster dogs into our home and helped them learn how to be a dog. If it wasn't for Dallas we wouldn't have our quirky Kinley and several family members and friends would not have their furbabies. We have met so many wonderful people in the rescue world and made some life long friends, thanks to Dallas. She loved swimming and visiting my dad at the lake. When he moved into the assisted living she still loved visiting him (even if she didn't get to swim) and brought smiles and joy to the residents there. Just one more way she brought happiness to so many. Helping Dallas cross the Rainbow Bridge in January was an incredibly difficult decision, but we knew it was the right thing to do. She had been an ambassador of her breed for 14 1/2 years and it was time for her to rest. Dad joined her in heaven a couple months later and I know she greeted him with a kiss and led him straight to the lake. I picture mom & dad sitting in their lawn chairs watching Dallas run back and forth along the shore and chasing whatever they throw for her. I am hoping to raise $1,000 in memory of my dad and our sweet, good girl, Dallas. Please help me reach, or better yet, exceed my goal. Thank You - Hugs & Blessings - Annette
