Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets 2026

Every year, Good Works Food Shelf provides Thanksgiving food to families in our community. Last year, we distributed 167 Thanksgiving dinner baskets. This year, our goal is to serve up to 200 families on Wednesday, November 18.

Each registered family will receive a turkey and will be able to choose from the Thanksgiving side items available during the distribution. We plan to purchase the turkeys through The Food Group Minnesota. Donations from our community food drive will help supply side items, and we will purchase any remaining items locally after the food drive ends.

Last year, 91 people donated $8,583 to our Thanksgiving effort. We are grateful for that support. This year, our fundraising goal is $10,000.

Your donation will help us purchase turkeys, side items, and other supplies needed for the distribution. A gift of approximately $50 helps provide Thanksgiving food for one family, but every donation helps.

Funds raised through this campaign will first be used for our Thanksgiving distribution. If we raise more than is needed for Thanksgiving, the remaining funds will be used for other Good Works Food Shelf food purchases and expenses.
