Lawson's Fundraiser for Mentor North

 I became involved with Mentor North in July of 2025 as the Superior Program Advocate in addition to being an LSW!  When I think about the work of Mentor North, I am most excited about the moments when a young person realizes their potential, discovers new possibilities, and gains the confidence to chase their dreams—moments made possible because someone believed in them. Your support makes those life-changing moments happen. Our work feels more essential than ever because young people are facing unprecedented challenges—social, emotional, and academic. Mentoring provides guidance, stability, and encouragement that can make the difference between struggling in isolation and thriving with support. Every connection we make helps youth build confidence, resilience, and the tools they need to succeed. I know Mentoring Matters because I’ve seen youth grow in confidence, reach new heights in school, build lasting friendships, and discover opportunities they never imagined. A mentor’s belief can change a life — and together, we can open those doors...

For 2025 I am part of the Mentor North Power of 20 Campaign - with the goal to raise $20,000 and launch 20 new monthly donors all by Nov 20th.  So give monthly or give one time in any amount - both are needed!  

With your recurring or one-time donation, Mentor North will work to ensure that every local youth has opportunities to gain life skills, try new things, develop meaningful interests and engage with their community through 1 on 1 mentorships. Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that someone cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter.  Being in a mentoring relationship builds social connection, improved self worth, confidence, mental and physical well-being for mentors and youth alike.
