Support Sisterhood Boutique and Invest in Our Young East African Women

At Sisterhood Boutique, we believe that fashion can do more than just look good—it can serve as a platform for empowerment. Through our boutique in Cedar-Riverside, Minneapolis, the Sisterhood Boutique partners with young East African women, ages 16–25, to offer a paid internship combining fashion retail experience with meaningful professional and personal development.

Your gift on Give to the Max Day makes real impact. Here’s how your support counts:

  • Creating first-job opportunities. Interns receive hands-on learning in the boutique: customer service, retail operations, event coordination, networking with local businesses.
  • Building life skills. Every participant works through curriculum covering financial literacy, career/college planning, and community development—so they’re more than ready for their next step.
  • Strengthening community. The boutique serves the neighborhood with extremely affordable fashion (everything under $12!) while building cross-cultural connection and economic inclusion.

When you donate today, you’re not just giving to a thrift-boutique; you’re investing in a young woman’s future, our shared community’s economy, and a model of inclusive empowerment. Every dollar goes back into supporting the youth program and the boutique’s mission.

Visit us in person:

Location: 2200 Riverside Ave., Minneapolis, MN Hours: Monday through Friday, 1 pm – 6 pm

Help us reach our goal for Give to the Max Day—so we can continue to grow, serve more interns, and uplift more voices in our East African community. Thank you for believing in meaningful change, one garment and one internship at a time.
