Invest in the lives of homeless youth with me!

I’ve long believed that when a family breaks down — through absence, abuse, neglect or forced separation — the ripple effects can leave young people without a steady foundation. Too many youth walk away from home because the home they knew no longer offers safety, love or stability. And when you’re young and untethered, the world doesn’t wait. You need work, you need shelter, you need hope.

That’s why I’m committed to supporting Wildflyer Coffee. This isn’t simply a coffee shop: it’s a lifeline. Through its four-month Work & Life Skills Training Program, Wildflyer hires youth ages 16-24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability, pays them while they learn the hard and soft skills needed to hold a job, and walks alongside them as they re-anchor their lives.

Here’s how the impact plays out: by the program’s end, participants are trained baristas, have had support in financial wellness, resume building, interview prep and often housing and employment coaching. In 2024, Wildflyer reported that 75% of participants graduated the program, and 100% of young people remained employed or enrolled in education and stably housed at their 3-month post graduation check-in.

When you give or purchase from Wildflyer, you’re doing more than getting great coffee. You’re helping create a pathway for a young person to rebuild what was broken: a sense of belonging, a routine, dignity, a future. A place to plant their feet and turn toward what’s next instead of what was left behind.
