Help us keep the doors of Black Butterfly open to new beginnings.

When I started Black Butterfly Women Services, I wanted women coming home after being institutionalized to have a safe place to go and someone who believed in them. As someone who has experienced incarceration myself, this work is personal. I know how much support can matter when you’re trying to move forward.

This year, we’ve helped 10 women with housing fees, along with support that includes food, clothing, transportation, family reunification, and more. Sometimes the help a woman needs is a ride to work, clothes for a fresh start, or help covering her housing fee while she gets back on her feet. At Black Butterfly, we walk alongside her as she takes those steps.

We’re raising $50,000 this Give to the Max to help cover housing and operating costs so we can keep showing up for women coming home from incarceration, treatment, or other institutional settings.

Behind every donation is something real: a warm home, a meal, a way to get to work, and people a woman can turn to when things get hard. Your gift helps us continue providing that support.
