Black Butterfly Women Services

Every woman deserves a safe place to land and a chance to start again.

At Black Butterfly Women Services, we know that rebuilding your life after incarceration takes more than determination. It takes a safe place to sleep, people who believe in you, and support as you figure out what comes next. Many women come to us ready for a fresh start but without stable housing or the resources to get on their feet.

That’s why Black Butterfly exists. We want women to know they don’t have to do this alone.

Since opening our first home in 2020, we have helped nearly 80 women rebuild their lives. We have watched women find jobs, move into their own homes, reconnect with their children, and begin to believe in themselves again. These moments mean so much because we see the hard work it takes to get there.

We provide safe, sober transitional housing and support with employment, education, recovery resources, life skills, and connections to the community. Some days, that means helping a woman get an ID or get to an appointment. Other days, it means sitting beside her, listening, and reminding her that she can keep going.

This Give to the Max Day, we are asking you to be part of this work. Your donation helps cover room fees for women who cannot yet afford them, groceries, transportation, hygiene products, and the everyday support that helps women build stability.

The need does not stop when a woman walks through our door. Having a safe place to stay gives her room to breathe, make a plan, and begin working toward her goals. Your support helps us keep that door open.

Please consider making a gift today. You can also help by sharing our campaign, volunteering, or connecting us with others who want to get involved. Every gift and every connection helps us continue showing up for the women we serve.

Thank you for believing in these women and in the work we do. With your help, more women can have a safe place to begin again.
