In November 2025, we adopted Marshall from the Tri-County Humane Society. I had been volunteering for a while and always threatened to bring a new animal home each week. It wasn't until I spent a few days in a row with Marshall at the shelter that I fell in love. When he got there, he had a deformity in his leg. The care team at the Tri-County Humane Society decided to amputate one of his arms that was causing him discomfort. He just turned a year old,
and he is doing wonderful. Hes jumping, swimming, playing way too well.
I really enjoyed volunteering. I loved helping show animals and showing people their potential new family member. I loved when a meet and greet went well, and they decided to take one home. Seeing how much care goes in to these animals daily is crazy. So many things come in and out, sometimes staying longer than we'd want them to. Luckily, they do not euthanise for space or age. This is a wonderful organization, and I think you should support it. Also, if I raise enough, I can be entered into a raffle, which I would absolutely love!
Anyway there's a few reasons why I love the Tri-County humane society and I love to support them. I love me a good cause :)
