A girl who feels supported today can become a confident, empowered woman tomorrow.

At Ms. Houston’s Caring Hands, we believe every girl deserves to be heard, valued, encouraged, and surrounded by people who believe in her potential.

Unfortunately, many young girls face challenges that can affect their confidence, emotional well-being, and sense of belonging. Some are navigating peer pressure, family challenges, bullying, or simply trying to discover who they are.

We believe no girl should have to navigate those challenges alone.

Introducing GEMS: Girls Empowered through Mentorship & Support

GEMS is an upcoming 12-week mentorship program designed to empower girls ages 13–17 through meaningful relationships, positive guidance, personal development, and confidence-building experiences.

Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming, judgment-free environment where girls can express themselves, develop healthy relationships, build life skills, and recognize their worth.

Through GEMS, we plan to provide:

• Mentorship and guidance: Positive role models who listen, encourage, and support.

• Confidence and self-esteem building: Activities that help girls recognize their strengths and believe in themselves.

• Life skills and personal growth: Opportunities to develop leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Positive connections: A supportive environment where girls can build friendships and feel a sense of belonging.

• Meals and program supplies: Resources that help create an engaging and welcoming experience.

• Participation support: Assistance with transportation-related costs to help reduce barriers to attendance.

Our Goal: Raise $10,000 to Help 15 Girls Shine

We are asking our community to help us raise $10,000 to launch our first 12-week GEMS mentorship program for 15 girls.

Your generous donation will help support trained program staff, educational materials, meals, activities, mentorship experiences, and other essential program needs.

Every contribution, regardless of size, brings us closer to creating a meaningful opportunity for these young girls.
