Empower Youth Project

For this Give to the Max Day, we're raising funds for YouthLink's Voices of Youth Advisory Council (VOYAC). VOYAC is an integral part of our team, providing leadership, peer support, and youth programming. What makes YouthLink special is its intentional integration of youth and adult workers, building a community rooted in shared growth and understanding.

About YouthLink
YouthLink supports young people ages 16-24 experiencing and at risk of homelessness in the Twin Cities metro. From basic needs like a hot shower or clothes, to mental and physical health, to help accessing housing and employment, YouthLink helps youth at all stages of their journey. 

The Need is Growing!
Last year, YouthLink served 2,561 young people during 18,886 visits! Things have not slowed down. Youth visits are up 32% and meals served are up 35% compared to last year. We need our community's help to keep meeting the need. 

About VOYAC
The Voices of Youth Advisory Council (VOYAC) is made up of youth with lived experience of homelessness or housing insecurity. They advise YouthLink on policies, procedures, programs, and partnerships. They also host a lot of events in our Drop-In Center like meet-and-greets, artistic expression/painting, surveys, and voter engagement.
