Mardell's Fundraiser for VLN

Charitable giving has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. From my earliest memories of being a child, it was simply something our family did. It was part of who we were. Grandfather Presler instilled so many important principles in all of his children and grandchildren, and one of the strongest was the value of giving to others. He believed deeply in caring for those around us, and he lived that belief every day. 

I’ll never forget how Grandfather Presler always ended his prayers with the words, “keep us ever mindful of the needs of others.” Those words have stayed with me all my life, reminding me that generosity isn’t just about what we give, but about keeping our hearts open and aware of the people who need our help.

I am raising funds to help Volunteer Lawyers Network reach their $12,000 goal to support free legal services to low income Minnesotans. VLN helps thousands of Minnesotans each year who would otherwise go without legal assistance in civil legal cases of eviction, divorce, custody, bankruptcy, immigration, and more. Volunteer Lawyers Network is able to provide these services for free through their network of hundreds of passionate legal professionals who volunteer their time and expertise for those in need.
