Indivisible Twin Cities will match our member donations up to $1000 during the month of November.
Members of Indivisible Twin Cities are ready to help our neighbors in need. Rising food costs, loss of SNAP (food assistance) benefits and lost wages due to the Federal shut down are putting extra strain on our neighbors.
Here in Minnesota, that means nearly 500,000 people losing access to more than $70 million in grocery benefits, dollars that not only feed families but also support our local grocers, farmers and communities.
Those receiving SNAP in Minnesota include 72,000 elderly, 52,000 adults with disabilities, and 152,000 children. More than 60% of these children’s parents work; others are recently unemployed.
A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to use contingency funds but it may take days or weeks for funds to get released.
Food shelf visits in Minnesota rose 133% from 2020 to 2024, hitting a record 8.9 million last year.
Please help us bridge the gap for thousands of Minnesotans that need our help as we raise money for The Food Group. The Food Group is a crucial resource in the Twin Cities and helps to coordinate efforts and support with over 200 local food shelves.
Your gift TODAY will provide nutritious and culturally connected meals for families most in need today and build a better food system for tomorrow.
