MY WHY
Steve Klunder, 2014
This November marks 10 years since my dad’s passing. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him—his laugh, his guidance, and the way he made everyone feel seen and loved. Losing him at a young age has forever shaped me, but it has also fueled my passion for helping others who are grieving.
One of the most healing experiences in my own journey was attending a grief camp after my dad’s death. It was there that I met others who truly understood what I was going through. We laughed, we cried, and we found comfort in knowing we weren’t alone. The friendships I made at camp are still with me today, and I’ll forever be grateful for that space of connection and understanding.
That’s why I believe so deeply in the work of Brighter Days Family Grief Center. They not only provide counseling, support groups, and resources at no cost—but they also offer grief camps for kids and teens, giving them the same kind of healing experience I had.
Why This Matters: Grief is something we all experience, but no one should have to go through it alone. Brighter Days is building a community of hope and healing for families when life feels darkest.
How You Can Help: I invite you to join me in supporting Brighter Days, with a gift most meaningful to you. Your gift will provide a safe, caring space for families to find comfort and healing. Can't donate? Kindly SHARE this fundraiser!
Thank you for honoring my dad’s legacy with me. 💛
