$50,000 Goal

In honor of Children's Grief Awareness Day, Brighter Days is raising $50,000 throughout the month of November for our GiveMN campaign.

Did you know that 1 in 17 Minnesota children will lose a parent or sibling by the time they are 18? Nationally, this number is 1 in 13. Imagine a classroom of 35 children where at least 2 students have experienced the unimaginable. Brighter Days Family Grief Center has provided FREE grief support and services to over 6,000 grieving children and adults since our founding in 2017. We are a proud anchor in our community, granting over $60,000 in financial assistance to cover costs associated with tutoring, extra curricular activities, and mental health support. It has been our honor to be a part of the healing but we know that children's grief deserves more than just one day. That is why we acquired a renowned Youth Grief Program from Fairview Health Services in 2020. Our desire to continue this 20 year program, dedicated to grieving children and teens, guides us towards offering more programming as we expand our services throughout the state. Pictured above is our hope-filled future building! ♥️

Here are just a few ways your donation can help; no amount is too small!

  • $100 can provide groceries to a newly widowed person.
  • $300 can host a grieving child at our FREE youth grief camp.
  • $500 can help provide supplies for our FREE Family Grief Support Series.
  • $750 can help cover grief counseling for a grieving family.
  • $1,000 will create a "named fund" in your loved ones honor.
  • $5,000 will help cover the costs of our grief support groups for one year.
  • $10,000 can cover the cost of our Family Day Camp for 150 kids and parents to find hope and healing.
  • $25,000 can cover our weekend grief camp, Camp Erin, for 75 grieving youth.
  • $50,000 can cover one year of FREE programming for youth and young adults!

$300 sends one little griever to our free youth grief camp, where they get to be sad AND silly without feeling judged. 💙

To learn more about our impact on grieving children, watch our video about our annual youth grief camp, Camp Erin-Twin Cities. It's pretty special. 💙
