Brighter Days Family Grief Center

As a statewide family grief center, please help us raise $50,000 to sustain our no-cost services for all Minnesota grieving children and their families. 

Did you know that 1 in 14 Minnesota children will lose a parent or sibling by the time they are 18? Nationally, this number is 1 in 12.

Imagine being in such a life-changing time of life and experiencing the unimaginable pain of saying good-bye to your family member. Then, imagine going back to school and not having your friends or teachers know how to support you. The isolation that comes alongside childhood grief can be devastating.  

As the catalyst to bringing Children's Grief Awareness Day to Minnesota, Brighter Days is a dedicated advocate for grieving children, young adults, and entire families. READ OUR PRESS RELEASE HERE.

Whether attending our grief camps, support groups, counseling sessions, or meaningful events and workshops, families facing the death or terminal diagnosis of a loved one find hope and healing through our no cost services.

Our financial assistance program provides basic necessities towards the overwhelming logistics of housing, groceries, tuition, and extra-curricular activities. To date, we have provided over $120,000 in financial assistance.

Here's how your donation can support grieving children and families; no amount is too small! 

• $100 can provide meals or groceries to a grieving family.   
• $320 sponsors TWO grieving siblings to attend our free youth grief camp, Camp Erin.  
• $500 sponsors our center for one month, including coffee, treats, and supplies for workshops and events. 
• $1000 helps cover FREE grief counseling by our skilled team of grief counselors.   
• $2,500 sponsors "Day Brightener" backpacks filled with comforting gifts and resources for grieving students in Minnesota schools. 
• $5,000 sponsors meals, take-home resources, and supplies for 25 families at our fall family camp.    
• $8,000 sponsors 75 kids at Camp Erin, our renowned no-cost youth grief camp. 
• $15,000 sponsors 150 kids and parents at our weekend family camp, Camp Journey.
