This year has been an interesting year of fostering! We've been lucky enough to foster 6 pups and have broken our record for longest foster dog. We are only able to help these pups because of No Dog Left Behind. By making a donation, you are helping NDLB with their life-saving mission of rescuing animals and finding their furever homes. Thank you! A little about our 2025 foster dogs:

We started fostering Hazey in September 2024. She was, by far, the most timid and broken dog we have ever fostered. Over the course of six months, we watched Hazey begin to explore, try new foods, make canine friends, play with toys, and accept affection. Every milestone was hard won and worth celebrating. In March of 2025, Hazey was adopted by an amazing and patient household. Her new name is Hazelnut and she has paw-rents, human siblings, and a bird friend. Her adoptive family has even started fostering!

Aurora joined our household in December 2024. She's cute, unique, and so very sweet and we thought she'd be adopted quickly. However, we soon noticed that Aurora was regularly limping, leading to the discovery that she has bilateral hip dysplasia. She is now our longest foster dog (11 months!!) and we anticipate that she'll be with us for a long time. We don't mind - Aurora truly is a wonderful dog. She loves stuffed animals and cuddling in bed.

In January of this year, we took in Riley, a beautiful pup that had been abandoned on a farm. At the vet, it was discovered that Riley was heartworm positive, meaning that we'd be fostering her while she underwent the months-long treatment. There's no dog quite like Riley! She was the absolute best cuddler, often acting as our own personal weighted blanket. Riley also loved to throw her stuffed animals (and sometimes my slippers) all over the house. In August, Riley was adopted by the best paw-rents. She gets to spend time at a farm and helps her mom nanny some kiddos.

NDLB rescued dogs from commercial breeding in August and I couldn't resist Ivy Louise. Despite her past, she was very brave and made great progress with us. That said, Ivy was a bit of a mess; her spine was curved and she was bow-legged, her teeth were in horrendous shape, and she had a suspicious lump on her stomach. Thankfully, the vet was able to help Ivy and she now has a clean bill of health. Ivy was with us for only a few weeks before she moved to a foster-to-adopt home. Her new name is Sadie and she has two paw-rents that love her very much!

Isaac knew of someone that needed to rehome their dog. He pointed them in NDLB's direction and we started fostering River in September. She was 100% hound and kept us on our toes! River loved to wrestle her furry friends, steal bread off the counter, sniff everything in her path, and play with her toys. We'll never forget her ridiculous sounding bark! River was adopted a few weeks ago, finding her furever home with two awesome paw-rents and a canine brother.

Finally, we fostered Rosie for a few days in October. She was our biggest foster dog! Rosie was very sweet but uncertain of herself in our home. She was scared of steps and struggled to go in and outside due to the layout of our house. Another foster had temporarily watched Rosie for us when she first came into rescue. That foster loved Rosie so much that she offered to take her back, and so she moved to a new foster. She is thriving there! Rosie is a wonderful pup and will hopefully be adopted soon.
