Barb and Todd's Fundraiser for FTMN

As foster grandparents, we never imagined how deeply this journey would touch our hearts. Watching our daughter and son-in-law open their home to children in foster care showed us both the challenges and the incredible joys that come with fostering. It also showed us something else—how essential it is for these families to have a community that surrounds them with care and support.

That’s why we’ve poured our hearts into Foster Together MN. Barb serves as treasurer on the Board, and together we volunteer regularly at events and at Abundant Goods, helping families access the resources they need to thrive. We’ve seen how a simple item—a warm coat, a backpack, a small gift—can ease a family’s burden and create space for love, growth, and stability. Every smile we see at an event, every child finding something that makes them feel special, reminds us why this work matters.

Our organization is growing in ways we never imagined. More families are coming through our doors, more children are being supported, and our programs are expanding to meet these needs. But with growth comes a challenge—we need a new space to truly call home. A space where families feel welcome, where resources are easy to access, and where our community can gather, learn, and celebrate together.
