In 1980, after his home was burglarized, Ronald (Ron) Pauline turned pain into purpose. He gathered his neighbors, forming a community watch that quickly grew into a movement—and ultimately became the Aurora St. Anthony Neighborhood Development Corporation (ASANDC).

By 1982, ASANDC had united block clubs and residents across Rondo, Frogtown, and Summit-University to restore safety, pride, and connection. In the decades that followed, its work expanded—from community safety to housing, youth development, and economic opportunity—carrying forward Ron’s spirit of self-determination for generations to come.

Today, ASANDC stands on that same foundation of resilience and collective care as we prepare for our rebirth. Your Give to the Max gift fuels our 2026 relaunch—strengthening our infrastructure and reimagining how we connect, heal, and build wealth together.

Your support powers four cornerstone initiatives that will define our next era of impact:

Legacy Labs (April 2026 Launch):Monthly intergenerational gatherings where youth, adults, and elders build connection and take on the conversations our families were told not to have—about money, power, care, and what “wealth” really means. Each Lab centers truth-telling, reflection, and collective action.

ProsperSt.Paul: A Renter-First Model for Financial EmpowermentA city-wide effort to make renter wealth-building not just possible, but prioritized. Our trauma-informed approach meets residents where they are—creating space for growth, agency, and dignity.

Rest to Rise (January 24, 2026):A restorative gathering for women, caregivers, and community builders—a soft place to land at the start of the year. Together, we’ll rest, realign, and begin soft so we can lead strong.

Legacy Stabilization Collaborative:An investment in the long-term sustainability of historic Black-led community institutions—ensuring the organizations that built our neighborhoods can continue to serve them for generations.
