Field Trip Fundraiser

Anew Dimension Child Enrichment Center is an early childhood education program that invites children to imagine with adults the endless possibilities of sharing and developing gifts and talents in a creative arts community.  

Anew has been helping children reach their full potential since 1969.  We are a nonprofit, NAEYC accredited and four-star rated Parent Aware program, serving economically and culturally diverse children and families in Minnesota.  We provide unique and inclusive care in a nurturing atmosphere where all cultural perspectives are valued.   Many of the children at Anew Dimension come from East African immigrant communities.  Multiple different languages are spoken and celebrated. The diversity of the families we serve is reflected in our staff and board of directors. Our highly valued staff come from a variety of backgrounds and typically stay with the program for many years.  The longevity of our staff retention is something we are proud of and a significant strength of our program.

This season, we are focusing on raising funds for field trips for children at Anew Dimension to a variety of places throughout the Twin Cities. Some examples of fun places we have visited in the past include: The Minnesota Children's Museum, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, the Hyland Play Area and North Mississippi Regional Park. These field trips have been exciting ways for the children to engage in a variety of ways, learning through purposeful experiences.

Why are we raising funds for field trips? 

Costs associated with bussing have continued to climb every year. The cost of hiring a bus is now $360 per trip (the children love riding a school bus!). These costs are quickly becoming prohibitive and we are reaching out to the community for assistance. 

Why are field trips Important?

Field trips offer unique educational experiences in a way that is exciting and engaging for young children. The opportunities to enhance a child's development in cognitive, motor and social/emotional development are abundant.  

Children are allowed to be curious, and pursue their own interests.  Field trips are child-centered learning.

Field trips are also an excellent opportunity for parents/guardians to join the children as chaperones, building important relationships.
